Our cats have worms that look lice white rice. We have 3 main coon 9 months old female. 2 flame point siamese. A mom of unknown age and her 4 month old daughter. And finally, we have a female Norwegian Forest Cat. Very young kitten. Unknown age. Best guess, 4 months as well. Maybe younger. We tried the liquid and no good. A Petco worker suggested getting tablets. Which ones are best? Is there a right and wrong? Please help

Hi there. If you're seeing things that look like wiggly pieces of white rice, these are usually tapeworm segments. Tapeworms are harder to kill than other parasites like hookworms or roundworms, so many all-purpose dewormers are not effective against them. You will need to get a dewormer that contains praziquantel, such as Bayer's Quad Dewormer. This can be purchased over the counter, so you can see if your local pet store has it - if not, you can order online, or see your veterinarian for a prescription dewormer. Tapeworms are usually caused by fleas - so I would also make sure that all of your kitties are on a good quality flea control medication to prevent them from becoming reinfected.
