My turtle's shell has a red spot and is getting soft. What to do?

I was washing Cooper' s shell when I noticed there a tiny red spot on her shell.When I press it on and disappears but when I lift my fingers the red spot comes back again.Also Cooper's soft shell is now gotten a little more worse and I don't have the money to go a vet.What can I do to help him.Please help me.I'm sorry the photos are a little blurry but I took them the best I can.Thanks and please answer this as fast as you can.

A reddened shell can be due to trauma, but it can also be due to infections in the body, called sepsis. I think that you mentioned previously that you had been to a veterinarian recently - I would recommend that you contact them, and see if they would be willing to fill a course of antibiotics for you. This would incur a cost, but if they have seen Cooper recently, they may not require an exam for this, so that would save you some money. However, I don’t know if they would feel comfortable in doing this, so you would need to ask them. Otherwise, please ensure that the husbandry and water quality are as good as possible, because contaminated water can have excessive amounts of bacteria which can lead to infections.
