Will neutering stop my cats from spraying and eliminate the smell?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 30 days old | 5 lbs

Both cats r spraying in my sons room I had to get a new bed new carpet and they just did it again help if they get fixed will it stop I've washed the clothes 3 times they still stink

Yes, having them neutered may very well resolve this behavior. Spraying is completely normal for intact males, which is why virtually no one keeps unneutered male cats in the house :) I would make an appointment to have this done as soon as possible, as the longer this behavior continues, the more likely it is to become a habit that may persist after neutering.

    I think that neutering your cat will certainly help with the spraying. There may be another cat nearby in the neighborhood causing your cat to spray more than normal, such as another male cat or a female that is in heat.
