What causes yellow crust on my senior German Shepherd's stomach spots?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 11 years and 2 months old | 85 lbs

My 11yr old German Shepherd has always had black spots on her stomach. The now have a yellow crust around some. She is on ear medication (ear drops). No other signs. What could it be? She does sleep a lot now.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This looks like a focal infection. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good day!
