Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 2 lbs
No matter what I seem to do my foster kitten refuses to use the litter box. Even when I catch him going elsewhere and put him in the box he just hops out immediately and goes somewhere else. I have tried putting his poop in there so he would smell it, I've tried changing the type of litter several times, I have even tried putting cat nip in there and spraying it with feliway to attract him. I have tried putting him in other litter boxes in more private areas. Nothing works. What can I do?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I'm sorry to hear your foster is having litterbox issues. Some options to help with this are to have multiple types of litterboxes (covered, uncovered, etc) throughout the house, with feliway around all of them. Additionally, you can add cat attract litter to the boxes to encourage him to use them. You could also try a different type of litter with the cat attract to see if there is a type that he likes more. If these suggestions do not help resolve your issue, I would recommend setting up a consult or reaching out to your regular veterinarian to discuss further options. Good luck!
