I am sorry to hear about Andy! There can be a multitude of causes for hair loss in dogs. Parasites of the skin, such as fleas or mites, are one of the most common, particularly in young dogs. Infections of the skin with bacteria, yeast, or fungus, can also lead to hair loss. Allergies to food ingredients or environmental allergens, and endocrine disease can also lead to hair loss. I would recommend an exam at a veterinarian. They can look at the skin to see if there are signs of infection or parasites, which will help determine what the proper treatment will be. Best of luck to you!

Hi Priya! This hair loss can be caused by fleas, mites, allergies, ringworm, or a skin infection. Without seeing her in person, I can't make a definitive diagnosis. Have her seen by a vet to get this diagnosed so she can get treated. Best of luck.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Chubs! It would be helpful to know how old Chubs is and if she is scratching. Causes of hair loss can be from a bacterial or yeast infection, demodex (non-contagious mite), fleas, ring worm and from endocrine conditions (older dogs) such as hypothyroidism (low thyroid) and cushings disease. I recommend an exam by your vet. Infections are treated with antibiotics or anti-yeast medications, demodex and fleas are treated with Nexgard or Bravecto. Ring worm requires a culture to diagnose and is treated with antifungals. A low thyroid and cushings requires blood work. I hope this helps and I wish a speedy recovery for Chubs!

This hair loss could be due to fleas, mites, allergies, ringworm, a skin infection, or medical illness. Without seeing Raja in person, I can't say what is causing it. I'd have him seen by a vet in the morning to have this diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.
