Vomiting, weight loss, and decreased appetitie in a 15 year old dog could be caused by many different things, including kidney disease, liver disease, cancer, infections, pancreatitis, diabetes, etc. He needs to be examined by a vet for a work-up with blood-work and x-rays to determine the exact cause. Once diagnosed, your vet can determine the best way to treat the problem and the prognosis. An anti-vomiting medication may help with the vomiting and get him eating again.

I would recommend having Dixie examined by a vet. Her symptoms could be caused by a number of diseases that are common in geriatric pets, such as kidney disease or diabetes. The vet will do an examination and may recommend blood work and a urinalysis to screen for common issues.
