Poor puppy. He may have an acid reflux problem. Get him examined by your vet just to ensure he is healthy otherwise, and then discuss with your vet about trying him on a short course of antacids to see if there is any improvement. You can also feed him smaller and more frequent meals, especially right before bedtime. You see most of these pets will vomit up foam because the stomach is empty and overloaded with acid, which then causes vomiting of clear liquid. I hope your puppy Oscar feels better soon!

Aw poor Kona! If it's happening in the morning on an empty stomach one possible cause would be gastritis/reflux. Sometimes feeding a small meal right before bedtime can help reduce this. Other possible causes in a puppy would be intestinal parasites, a diet sensitivity, or intestinal blockage. If Kona continues to vomit or demonstrates any other signs of sickness I'd recommend taking her to be examined by your veterinarian to rule out more serious causes of vomiting. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and good luck to you and Kona!

This sounds like vomiting on an empty stomach. in some dogs it can be due to build up of acidity in the stomach during the night. try feeding her later in the evening and earlier in the morning, if it does not solve the problem, take her to the vet to get it checked.
