My dog has a growing bald spot after grooming. Should I worry?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 9 years and 1 month old | 11 lbs

My dog came from the pet salon about 3 - 4 weeks ago groomed really nice. I noticed a lighter spot near his nose and thought maybe the groomer got too close. His hair has not grown back and the area looks larger. Is this normal? Is this something that will go away? Should I take him to the Vet?

Since it has been there for 3-4 weeks now it is unlikely to go away on its own. Since it is getting larger it is best to get it checked by a vet to see what it is. It has potential to be an infection, an allergy/reacion, ring worm or a growth.
