My dog accidentally took heartworm medicine daily. Will he be okay?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 184 lbs

I completely screwed up and gave my dog heart worm med 4 days in a row that was to be given monthly. Help! Will he be ok?

It depends wich medication your dog is taking, most heartworm Meds are low dosage and with most he should not get any toxic reaction from it. If he shows neurological symptoms or is vomiting for example, take him to the vet to get it checked.

    If you used Heartgard, it is an extremely safe medication and very hard to overdose. In studies, it showed no signs of toxicity at 10 times the regular dose. You should call your vet and give him/her an update since he/she knows your dogs complete medical history and then monitor for any abnormal sign.
