The odor can be due to periodontal disease, endocrine disorder (diabetes) or metabolic disorder. You will need to have Rissoto physically examined by your veterinarian to diagnose the exact cause(s). This may require submitting blood and urine samples to diagnose infection and to assess major organ function. Carefully inspect your kitty's mouth. She may have an injury, ulcer or abscess in her mouth. If she does not let you look or if you happen to see a wound, you need to take her to a veterinarian for an exam and treatment. Bad breath is usually caused by a wound, bacterial infection or bad teeth/gingivitis.
