My cat has a sudden hard lump near her mouth. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 11 years and 1 month old | 8 lbs

Hi. Just noticed a growth near my cats mouth. Grew like overnight it seems. Won't let me touch it. Not oozing. Pretty big. Some hair possibly missing. Seems hard feeling. She's already skinny but seems to have dropped weight. Older inside cat. I have other cats too.

This lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Moch moch to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
