My dog suddenly has yellow soft stool. What does this mean for them?

Soft, yellow stool indicates the stool is moving too quickly through the GI tract. It may also indicate issues with the liver. If it persists or is accompanied by lethargy, loss of appetite, abdominal pain or vomiting, then have Macy examined by your veterinarian. If she is behaving normally otherwise, try withholding food for 12-24 hours then feed a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. If the soft stool persists for more than 48 hours or if she develops any of the above symptoms, see your vet.
