My dog eats socks! How do I stop him from chewing household items?

How do I get pilot out of the habit of eating socks,towels.... basically anything he can get ahold of..?!

unfortunately this is a bad habit of young dogs. The best thing to do is keep in him in a kennel if you are not home. If you are home, make sure everything is picked up. Give him 2-3 toys at a time and put the rest up. Make sure one toy is a kong or other treat hiding toy to help keep him occupied and work for food. You can also get nylabones or antler chews to help. Rotate his toys with a new set every few days so he does not get bored. Each time is chews something he is not supposed to, tell him no, and give him something appropriate to chew on instead.
