how long is the procedure of a spaying a dog, I just want to know for how long is my dog going to be under anesthesia since she will be getting spay on tuesday.

It actually depends on the surgeon and the patient. For instance, older dogs are more difficult to spay than puppies. If the dog had recently been in heat, or is pregnant, then this would also increase the time of the spay. Some surgeons are quicker than others. A spay may take one surgeon (usually more experienced) fifteen minutes; while the same spay may take another surgeon one hour or more. For these reasons, it's best to ask your veterinarian about how long it will take. They will be able to give a more accurate timeline. Otherwise, you can expect her to be under anesthesia for about 20 -90 minutes. I hope that helps and all is well with Aubree.
