My parakeet is scratching its face. What's the best mite treatment?

I found a parakett in my yard last year and someone told me that it has mites because it is always sratching and rubbing its face on its cage. Its face especially how do i get rid of the mites. I have spray for her but how do i get it on her face or where its really driving her crazy.

This is suspicious of mites. Unfortunately, no spray will be effective for clearing these mites, because these mites burrow under the skin. They need an injection, or oral medication in order to kill the mites. For this, you will have to take her to a veterinarian. It's good to take her to a vet anyways, because they can ensure the correct diagnosis is made prior to starting treatment. I hope that helps and she gets better soon.
