Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 49 lbs

My dog has loose motions. Today is the second day. We think it's because he overate. He was given food twice in the morning as both people didn't know that he had already been fed. What food can I give him to stop loose motions apart from slippery elm?please name some common food in Indian households.we also gave him oflaxacin twice till now but it didn't seem to work.

I usually recommend skipping one meal to really rest the GI tract, then feed small amounts of something bland such as boiled chicken and rice with no spices or fat. If this does not seem to improve the diarrhea in a few days or if you notice any blood then I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
