My kitten is 3 weeks old and I’m suspecting that he has ringworm. He has white scaly spots in his paws and tail. He had hair loss in his tail due to white and brown, scaly and dry spot. Would like to know if it is indeed ringworm. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Seve! It is very likely it is ring worm but many skin conditions can look the same. Ring worm can’t be diagnosed by just looking at it. A fungal culture needs to be done to know for sure. Ring worm is treated with oral antifungal medications and/or lyme sulfur dips. I recommend having your Vet diagnose the skin condition. I hope this helps and I wish Seve the best!
