My cat has dandruff and isn't grooming himself. Should I bathe him?

My cat is about 2 years old and male. He doesn’t seem to be cleaning himself to much. He has a lot of dandruff on his back. Is he mentally challenged or something? Should I be cleaning him?

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I don't think Hermy is mentally challenged. He may just be lazy, not feel well or have intestinal parasites. Increased dandruff can appear with certain diets (allergy) as well. I would consider changing his diet, grooming him daily and adding in Omega 3 fish oils to helps his coat. You can bathe him, but cats usually aren't appreciative of baths! https://www.vrshealth.com/canine-products/omegasmalldog/ I hope this helps and I wish Hermy the best!
