My dog has a soft, pink bump with peeling skin on his ear. What is it?

Hey I was out playing with smokey and I noticed a pink/ red bump on his ear. At first I thought he had a tick but when I got closer it’s not and it’s soft and like peeling skin. It’s at the tip of his ear, what could this be? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 100 lbs

This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign.
