My mother cat is panting and breathing heavily after kittens. Is she okay?

Worried about a mother cat panting has a dry nose and has had very little fluid she had kittens three weeks ago she seems tired we have tried cool towels works for a little bit but goes back to panting she is breathing heavily too should I be concerned it has been a hot day which has turned into a humid night thanks

Cats do not pant often. When they do it is often a sign of distress. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Based on what they find on a physical exam they may recommend lab work and possibly x-rays to help determine the diagnosis. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
