Pet's info: Cat | Balinese | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old
It cleared up a day and a half after it started but I still don't know what it was. My cat was peeing everywhere and even peed when I lifted him into my lap. I put him in a large pet carrier to avoid the problem of more pee piddles. I went to the store and bought something called uri-ease and fed him the little the bottle recommended. The random peeing stopped and he stated using the litter box again. What do you think the problem was? Should I keep giving him the uri-ease?

He may have a urinary tract infection which can lead to an obstruction in male cats. It can also be behavioral from stress. I would have stop the medicine since he is better so you can see if there is another problem. IF he starts doing it again I would have your check a urine sample to see if there is an infection or crystals that need to be addressed separately.
