Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 4 days old | 3 lbs
My ragdoll kitten has had goopy eyes that I have been carefully cleaning. His one eye has gotten worse with a red rim and some yellow goop and it looks very sore. He is acting fine and perfectly normal otherwise. What should I do?

I’m sorry sweet little Buster has this going on. Conjunctivitis in kittens is common, and most often due to feline herpes virus. This can take weeks to resolve. There are medications to help, but just like any virus it has to run its course. That being said I would still encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. In the meantime use a warm water compress to soak the debris away from the eyes several times a day. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
