My dog is peeing blood and has diarrhea. What should I do now?

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | neutered | 3 years and 5 months old | 25 lbs

Buddy’s pee is red. Also, for your information, he had diaharea.

I am so sorry Buddy is having this issue. I would call your veterinarian in the morning to be seen. This can be from a bad urinary tract infection or something else like a bladder stone. If Buddy is urinating it is ok to wait till tomorrow. If Buddy cannot urinate or is straining to urinate then I recommend taking him to an emergency veterinarian tonight since this is a life threatening emergency. If you are able to collect a urine sample before your appointment with the veterinarian it would be beneficial. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
