My dog has a big, painless neck lump after getting out. What happened?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 11 months and 24 days old | 70 lbs

My bloodhound/pit got out of our yard yesterday morning and yesterday evening we noticed a softball size swelling on her neck. It does not hurt to the touch or with pressure, appetite and thirst are normal bms are normal she is not acting any different just has a huge lump.

That lump is strange. My first thought is maybe Pandora got hit by something and its like a 'goose egg' on a human. It could also be a reaction to some sort of insect sting or bite. Try giving her an antihistamine for the next 24 hours and pay very close attention to the lump. If it does not go down or she starts acting sick, take her in to see the vet. Obviously, you could also just take her in today to get it checked out. It could also be an abscess but that typically takes a few days to form.
