My indoor cat has a sudden head cut. Is it ringworm or fleas?

My cat has this spot on his head with a cut in the middle, he didn't have it when I left for work I came home and it was their. Is this ringworm? None of my animals have ever had it and he never goes outside.

It does not appear to be ringworm but of course it could be. There is no way to diagnose a skin condition 100% with just a photo. It actually looks like he has scratched his head due to fleas. Even cats that don't go outside can get fleas. Fleas get inside the house all the time. I suggest you get him to your vet for an exam. It looks like he will need some antibiotics for that.
