My cat is itching, no fleas, skin wounds. Is she allergic to carpet?

Can my cat be allergic to carpet. She won't stop itching, I look for fleas and i dont see any. Her skin is becoming to look wounds on her. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female

Precious could be allergic to the carpet but something like fleas or food is more likely. Pets can also get environmental allergies to dust, pollen, weeds...etc. I would recommend to rule out fleas first. Use a good product like Cheristin or Revolution for 3 months.
