Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 11 months old
our older cat, about 5 years old, and newest addition, who's one both get along, but fight almost all night long. we play with them a good amount of time throughout the day, but that's apparently not enough. we love them, and won't get rid of either. they're scared to go downstairs, in this new house, that has two hyper babies. i'm sure it's frustration that's a factor, but we don't know how to get them to calm down. it's only at night they're so bad. besides attention, what else can we do?

You could try Feliway spray or diffuser and see if that helps. Otherwise, your vet could possibly prescribe an anti-anxiety medication, like Prozac or Trazodone. http://www.feliway.com/us/#redirected
