Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Van | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 14 days old | 3.3 lbs
I've started noticing that my pet seems to pee and drink a lot of water more than it used to before. It doesnt even want to sleep with me now! It always sleeps on the floor now which it rarely did before and keeps crying all the day and rolls on the floor. It also licks the part from where it poops. What should i do? It sometimes even attacks me for no reason. I need to know what is happening with my cat :(

Poor Barbie! Drinking and urinating excessively can be caused by a number of underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, kidney disease, urinary tract infections, among many others. In a 10 month old kitten, a urinary tract infection (UTI) would be my main concern, particularly since Barbie is also licking her hind end (likely her vulva) excessively. UTIs can cause a fair amount of discomfort, which can result in behavioral changes, such as crying and interacting with you differently. At this point, I recommend taking Barbie to her vet for a physical exam and urinalysis to try to get to the bottom of things. If a UTI is diagnosed, antibiotics will be needed. I hope this helps and that Barbie feels better soon!
