Why does my dog have dark scabs, spots, and hair loss from itching?

i have a deerhound x lurcher and she’s come up in these horrible little dark marks and scabs all over her, little and big spots and also hair loss. The spots are big and small and they are all over a well as the scabbing. The hair loss is in various places where she has been itching it. She hasn’t got fleas or anything like that as she is treated as she usually would be. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed

Dogs can be affected by a few things that will cause similar looking lesions. Fleas, food allergies, environmental allergies and thyroid/adrenal gland disease. You did not say what flea product you are using. If you are using a topical product, I would switch to an oral product like Simparica or Comfortis. Use it for 3 months and see if the symptoms go away. Depending on her age, a food trial may be next. The other conditions are diagnosed with blood tests. I hope this helps!
