Pet's info: Dog | Shiloh Shepherd | Male | neutered | 83 lbs
My dog appears to have a pimple on his penis (the inside part) I noticed when he was sitting and it was protruded from the sheath. Is this common? He doesn't seem bothered by it.

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. This is something that I I have seen multiple times and rarely does it cause a problem. Sometimes after urinating the urine can become trapped in the sheath of the penis. This trapped moisture can lead to irritation and a mild infection which usually resolves on its own. I would just monitor this for any signs of worsening and if it starts to spread I would have your veterinarian take a look at this. You can also use malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area until resolved. I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns that you may have.
