Pj has always been a healthy dog but about 4 months ago little scabs started appearing on his skin. we took him to the vet and they said he was just allergic to his shampoo. 2 ish months ago more scabs started appearing and lately he has been licking and scratching at those areas and looks like he is in pain. now they have started appearing around his mouth. what is going on?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. Judging from the pictures and description, I would say this is likely a bacterial skin infection (bacterial pyoderma). I would recommend starting the following: 1. Douxo PS chlorhexidine combination shampoo and bathe twice weekly until the infection is resolved 2. Malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area 2 to 3 times per day until resolved 3. Welacti omega 3 fish oil 4. Essential 6 spot on by dermoscent If the skin condition does not improve or worsens then I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at this for further testing and treatment. I hooe this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via consultation if needed.
