My dog ate pumpkin pie with nutmeg. Is it toxic? Should I call vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 60 lbs

Hello! My roughly 30 kg Labrador ingested 3/4 of a save-on-foods pumpkin pie about 30 minutes ago. The store website recipe shows about 1/2 tbsp of nutmeg per pie. He seems perfectly happy at the moment. Should I be worried? Do I call emergency?

Half tbsp of nutmeg is definitely enough to cause a toxic reaction in dogs although cooked nutmeg is considered to be much less toxic. you will need to look for the following symptoms: hallucinations, disorientation, increased heart rate, high blood pressure, dry mouth, abdominal pain, and possibly seizures. If you see any of those symptoms starting please take Oliver to the vet right away.
