My dog threw up a couple times yesterday and was lethargic and had white gums. By the time we got him to the vet his gums had returnes to normal and he was more active. He got an anti nausea shot and was fine for the night. Today he has been shaking and twitchy and has been shaking his head a lot. Gums seem normal still. What could be going on?

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There could be multiple causes, but one condition that may be happening there may have been an allergic reaction to something he came into contact with or consumed in the last 24 hours. If Oscar experiences pale or white gums again, please take him in again to his veterinarian or emergency veterinarian for further testing. An autoimmune disorder scubas immune mediated hemolytic anemia could be a possibility as well. I hope this helps and best wishes to you and Oscar!
