My one week old kitten has not pooped in one whole day. We were doing just fine. What can i do for him. Can I give him mineral oil at this age?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Salem! I am assuming you are bottle feeding Salem? Bottle fed kittens are prone to constipation. I would buy a different brand of kitten formula and mix it half and half with the brand you are using now. Some brands constipate more and others can cause diarrhea more! You can also add extra water to the formula you are using now. Also be sure you are gently stimulating him with a warm towel after every feeding. If he doesn't defecate today you should have Vet evaluate him and give him an enema. I wouldn't give anything to him until he is seen by a Vet. I hope this helps and good luck!
