My kitten has rash, sneezing, hair loss. Should I see a vet?

Our 4 month old kitten has an allergic reaction (sneezing excessively, small rash (two) on belly and tail with a small amount of hair loss). We have attempted to rule out things that may be the cause and potentially believe our detergent from the bed sheets is the cause but not certain. What should be our priority in steps to treat our kittens allergic reaction? (Trip to vet, medicated ointments, eliminate options and test)

It would be very unusual for a kitten to be showing signs of an allergy to your detergent. A spotty rash with hair loss on the belly and tail would be more suggestive of something else like ringworm or a bacterial infection. You did not indicate how long you have had the kitten or where it came from. I would be more concerned about an upper respiratory infection from a virus. Perhaps you could repost with some photos of the skin lesion, but at this point I would recommend a veterinary exam.
