My cat breaks out with scabs all over her. Scratches herself to death. Licks to much. Very nervous from this. Has lost some of her hair. She breaks out every year at this time of year

Poor Boots! I'm sorry to hear that she's having this problem. If her skin breaks out and she gets very itchy every year around this time, it's likely that she has some seasonal allergy issues. Other possible causes of excessive itching and hair loss in cats could include fleas, a bacterial or fungal skin infection, or skin mites (mange). If she does have seasonal allergies, she will need prescription medication to effectively treat her symptoms - so I would recommend taking her to the vet for an exam as soon as you are able to. He/she can do some simple skin tests if needed to help rule out other possible causes of her symptoms, and can prescribe a steroid or other medication to help relieve her itching and get rid of the scabs.
