If you are unable to get Toffy’s medication in the ears you may want to consider taking him to the vet. Once there they can help you clean out the ears and put the medication in them. They may also be able to give you some tips and tricks to get the medication in. Oftentimes with ear infections the ears are very inflamed and painful so this is probably contributing to the difficulty. Sometimes I will prescribe a steroid in addition to the ear drops to help ease the inflammation and pain. Your vet may also be able to offer a specific ear medication that they put in in the clinic that stays in place for 7-14 days so you do not have to treat at home. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck!
