Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | 10 years and 6 months old | 17 lbs
I'm concerned about my dog, he has a bloated upper tummy since last night yet basically still acting normal - although he is lying down more than usual & walking abit slower. He is still eating and wanting to go for walks. (i've looked up symptoms of GDV and the only one i that is visible is the bloated belly)

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Rocky! I understand your concern! The symptoms you are describing are not one of a GDV expect the bloated stomach. Animals with a GDV do not eat, are uncomfortable, pace, pant and non-productively retch. I would take him to the Vet for an exam and an X-ray. There are other causes for a bloated stomach, sadly most commonly liver or spleen tumors. They can bleed causing lethargy and slower walking. Hopefully it's just from eating too much food! I hope this helps and I wish you and Rocky the best!
