My cat's nose is black and losing fur. What could be the cause?

What is at my kitty nose. It use to have fur on it. But now its black and no fur. I attach pic before andd after. Before is the normal nose and after is when it turn black

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Your kitten is adorable! There are only really a few things that can cause this: 1) continued rubbing of the nose on something where the fur has been rubbed off 2) ring worm which is a fungal infection. It is diagnosed by culture. Antifungal medications and lyme sulfur dips are treatment. 3) a non-contagious mite called demodex. This is diagnosed on skin scrape and by examining it under a microscope. I recommend having a Vet take a look at him and see if any of the above are the cause of the hair loss.
