Hello. My dog Arlo has been having an upset tummy for three days on and off. Vet have him antibiotic shots on 4th after heavy mucous stool. He was fine yesterday. Eating and playing normally. Today morning his stool had greenish mucous like soft stool. Am a little worried now. He is to be taken to the vet tomorrow for his first vaccination. What should I do next? Wait for another stool or take him to the vet? He had milk and biscuits now.

I would plan to take him to your appointment tomorrow and let your veterinarian guide you. If they feel he is sick enough to wait on vaccinations they will let you know. You may want to discuss diet at the appointment as well, at 6 weeks old they shouldn’t really need milk anymore. Maybe that’s causing the loose stool? Of course intestinal parasites are common problems in young dogs as well. Good luck! I hope he improves quickly!
