Why is my panleukopenia kitten still vomiting after medication?

My cat is 8 months old and tested to be FPV positive. Why does he keep vomitting even after giving him the medication to stop the problem? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 4 lbs

If he is suffering from feline panleukopenia this is an aggressive virus that often requires several days of intensive treatment including hospitalization with intravenous fluids to prevent dehydration.
