My 4-month-old puppy smells! How often to bathe & remove home odors?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 3 months and 20 days old | 26 lbs

I have three basic questions if you don't mind. 1 . How often should I bath my 4 month old pup ? 2 . How to remove dog odour from your pup quickly if any one from family coming to visit ? 3 . How to remove this heave dog odour ( piss and poop smell ) from front yard or house ? It's a basic question , I'm sure every dog owner would worry about it .

You typically can bathe dogs once a week unless they got into something and are dirty, then they can have an extra bath if needed. Some people do twice a week but you have to be careful to watch for dry skin. A bath is the best way to remove odor from them but they do make leave on conditioners and dog boy sprays that are scented that you can use in a rush to help. Cleaning the remains from the yard and cleaning the house with a fabric safe product can help with the odor. Wash all the blankets and beddings can also make a big difference
