My staffie has been in mourning all week due to her friend getting adopted( i foster for a rescue) and she has been off her food. Saw her yesterday staining to poop several times and very little was veing deposited. I gave her pumpkin and slippery elm but no improvement. She is peeing but doesn't seem to drink much.

Sorry Ivy is having this issue. If she has been off her food I am guessing maybe she has not drank a lot either? If that is the case she may be a bit dehydrated causing the constipation. You can try giving her some canned pumpkin - 1/4 to 1/2 cup twice a day to see if that helps. You may also want to put some chicken broth on her food - that will increase water intake due to the sodium content. If no improvement in a day or so she may need a vet visit. Also remember if she hasn't been eating well she may not have a lot of poop in there to come out. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
