My cat has a UTI. How can I safely express her bladder at home?

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 10 days old

My cat is having UTI and vet asked me to help her pass urine by squeezing her bladder... but i am finding it difficult...any tip for how to squeeze and palpate?

Ideally, you should have your veterinarian show you how to do it since it would be much easier. This article may have some helpful tips: https://www.handicappedpets.com/how-to-express-your-cats-bladder If Emi is painful or has a hard bladder, have her examined by your veterinarian. If you can get her to urinate more frequently on her own, that would be best. Offer a canned diet which is 75% moisture. Mixing in warm water to canned or dry food will also increase fluid intake.
