Hi there! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sometimes inappropriate urination occurs due to behavioral issues though in most cases, there is an actual medical reason. Male cats can have something called feline lower urinary tract disease which basically results in them having some trouble urinating. This can happen secondary to stress to something in the environment, not drinking enough water, among other things. Sometimes a way to help with this is by having more than 1 litter box, changing the location of the litter box, feeding a wet canned diet and increasing water intake. If that does not seem to help Abaza, then have him evaluated by your veterinarian to rule out things like urinary tract infections which can also result in this. Good luck!
