My husky has a neck wound from its collar. How can I treat it?

How to heal a cut around my outside husky dog neck. It's from the collar being around the neck to long. Pet's info: Dog | Husky | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 7 months old

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Without seeing Dice Clark it is hard to say. If the wound is deep it may need to be sutured closed. Ideally, the hair around the wound needs to be clipped because it carries bacteria that can continue to infect the wound. You can clean it with a mild soap like Dial and water to rinse off some bacteria. Ideally I would have a vet see he wound to determine the treatment course and start antibiotics to prevent infection.
