Ultrasound of cat showed irreg border on pancreas and vet wants to do bx. Currently on prednisone qod and mirtazapine q3days. Considering cbd oil. What other tx are avail. Don't want to put cat thru pain of midline incision and chemo. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would need a bit more information to be helpful: how old is Millie and what are her symptoms. What blood tests have been run? Millie could just have pancreatitis and need supportive care and time. I would have your Vet run a Maldigestion/malaborption profile which measure cobalamine, folate, TLI and PLI to help guide treatment. I would have her on antibiotics, anti-acids, anti-nausea and try to get her off prednisolone if she was on that prior to diagnosis of the irregular pancreas. I would be careful with CBD oil, cats do not metabolize drugs like dogs and people and it could make her sicker.
