Poor Champion, this looks uncomfortable. He has a skin irritation. For home care I recommend giving him a medicated bath twice weekly and adding a fish oil or fatty acid supplement to his diet to improve the skin and coat. You also can apply a thin film of antibacterial ointment on the sores. If Champion is licking or chewing these areas then I recommend a restraint collar so he can't get to them. If this is not getting better then I please take him to your veterinarian when you can as he may need antibiotics to help this heal. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Champion.

The red spots appear to be a skin infection. Most likely this is due an allergy of some sort. It usually does require medication from a vet but you can try a bath weekly to twice a week in a medicated shampoo then apply cortisone and alternate with neosporin on the bad places. Make sure there are no fleas as this can cause the itching to be worse and cause more trauma to the skin
