My cat is coughing, retching, and hissing when breathing. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 10 lbs

Our cat is retching with a cough every hour or so. She also has a hissing breathing pattern should I take her to the vet

Poor Kitty! Yes, from what you describe I would definitely recommend taking her to the vet. She may have feline asthma, or an upper respiratory infection causing the coughing and wheezing. Your vet can listen to her heart and lungs, and may also recommend chest x-rays to help determine the problem and get her started on appropriate medication to treat it.
